The logistics are simplified this year, here are your options depending on your race distance;
5km - PARK or get DROPPED OFF at Warren Farm (event village), there is a 2km walk to your start line, after the race catch the bus back to Warren Farm (£5) or reunite with the people who dropped you off at the finish line. There is a £2/car payment on the day for parking. The £5 payment is for the bus journey.
10km - PARK or get DROPPED OFF at Warren Farm (event village), start at Warren Farm, after the race catch the bus back to Warren Farm (£5) or reunite with the people who dropped you off at the finish line. There is a £2/car payment on the day for parking. The £5 payment is for the bus journey.
Half Marathon - PARK at Cliff Street Car Park, a public car park in Cheddar town, the usual car parking charges apply. The main public car parks are 1km from the start line. Start and Finish line are in the same place. No bus journey involved.
Parking is £2/car for the 5km and 10km runners at Warren Farm (cash only). Access to the car park closes at 09:15 ahead of the road closures coming into place for a 10:00 start. Note it will not be possible to access Warren Farm by driving through Cheddar Gorge itself after 08:30 so please add extra time to your journey is this is how your Sat Nav wants to take you.
Parking for Half Marathon runners is at Cliff Street Car Park, normal parking charges apply.
Drop Offs at Warren Farm (5km and 10km start line) will also be possible but it will very much need to be a very quick drop and go at the side of the event car park. Spectators will need to park in a public car park in town and then head for the finish line in the gorge.
As this is a closed roads race, there are no locations that spectators can drive to and park on the course. If you have spectators with you, we would recommend you park at one of the public car parks in Cheddar town and then head for the finish line in the gorge.
Race numbers, timing chips and wrist bands for the shuttle bus are all collected on the day. Timing chips must be returned at the finish line. Any timing chips that are not returned will be invoiced by the timing company at £75 each.
We have guaranteed places on the day for all distances; Half Marathon is £45 (cash only due to no signal in the gorge), 10km is £35 and 5km is £30. The optional bus journey back to the start is £5 (5km and 10km runners only).
